I have to agree with Ed Mendel. I have a 14x7 Noble Cooley 1 ply maple, a 1936 rebuilt 1 ply 14x7 Slingerland RadioKing and a Tommy Craviotto Lake Superior Birdseye 1 ply Maple. I had quite a few other snares including a Drum Solo 14x6 Zebrawood Block Snare. All are great! But I'm loving the sound and versatility of Eds Cypress Stave snare.
